Article submission is one of the most underused forms of advertising out there. Most business owners think of placing ads, doing mailings and perhaps printing out a few flyers but all of these methods put together don’t pack the same punch as writing and submitting articles.
Article Submission ranks as one of the best advertising methods because:
1) It is FREE advertising.
2) It is far more believable than an advertisement. Think about it. If a company is named in an article you are far more likely to take them seriously than if you see one of their ads. Ads tell people that you are trying to “sell” them. Articles seem to be based on facts which gives you credibility.
Now do you have to have an article written about you in Forbes to gain credibility? Well it would be nice but this is not entirely necessary. Online there are literally thousands of article directories begging to place your high quality articles for free.
Here is how it works:
1) Write an article or hire someone to write an article using the keywords that you researched for your niche. Give them good content!. You want people to read this article from start to finish.
2) Put a three line bio and link to your site at the end. Some of these sites call this the signature and others call it the author or resource box.
3) Blast the article out to thousands of article directories. ( Don’t worry there is a site that will do this for you at a very reasonable rate)
4) Repeat.
Bottom line is that you want to write and submit at least an article a week. If you can do more all the better.
Always key word optimize these articles and always have your resource box with your site’s link at the bottom. This is a free way to direct hundreds and even thousands of visitors to your site and gain instant credibility.
Now you can use article submission off line, as well. But then you have to deal with editors who may or may not accept your articles. Online, as long as you have good content, write at least 500 - 750 words of content, and put your article in the right category, and keep it clean you will never be rejected.

Everywhere that you look you see posts about key word density and seo. Everyone wants to know what the correct percentage of keyword density is appropriate to appease the search engines. Well the answer like most search engine optimization answers is one of balance:
1) Make sure that your content makes sense. Search engines are becoming increasingly clever about discovering if you actually wrote a good piece of content or if you are just trying to jam in as many keywords as possible.
2) Don’t use content generation software that is strictly keyword based. You know the type that say, “Give us your list of keywords and we will create countless articles for you.”
3) Use your main keyword in your title, first sentence, last paragraph, images and tags.
4) Some say not to go over a 10% key word density ratio but as always there are exceptions to this rule. It is a good place to start though.
The main thing you should be looking at is does your content make sense to both humans and the search engines. Reading your content aloud before posting should give you a quick answer to this. Then scan your content to make sure that you have not overloaded it with keywords in the thankless pursuit of trying to guess the “right” key word density.

HI all
Social Bookmarking Software is the greatest thing to hit the net since search engine submission software.
What is Social Bookmarking?
According to Wikipedia, social bookmarking is, ” is a method for Internet users to store, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web pages on the Internet with the help of metadata.”
Why use software to submit your site to the social bookmarking directories?
There are hundreds of them and you aren’t just submitting your homepage but eventually every page in your site. Plus you must submit sites other than your own as well, or they will accuse you of spamming and drop your site.
If you try to manually submit your pages to these directories it will take hours - time better spent on other marketing methods or product creation.
If you hire someone to do this for you, they will probably be using similar software and charging you for each and every submission.
How do you know which social bookmarking software to get?
Find one that allows you to sign up for each directory once and store the information. That way all you have to do is imput the webpage information and hit the button to let it automatically submit it for you. Now that will save you time and money. The most time intensive part is the initial setup.
